Sources: Liverpool told £30m Andre offer will be accepted

Fluminense would now accept a £30million January offer for long-term Liverpool target Andre, sources have told Football Insider.

The Reds are scouring the market for defensive midfielder options as the new year approaches and the Brazilian is firmly on their radar.

Alexis Mac Allister has regularly played the role for Jurgen Klopp’s side with summer signing Wataru Endo not yet making an impression in England.

The departures of Fabinho and Jordan Henderson for Saudi Arabia have hit the Reds hard and they are now ready to add a new option in holding midfield as they prepare for a possible title race.

Andre is a player who “ticks a lot of boxes” for Liverpool, a well-placed source told Football Insider.

The Reds were frontrunners to land the 22-year-old in the summer window, with Football Insider revealing in August that they saw multiple bids for the Brazil international rejected.

Jurgen Klopp’s side could now resurrect that interest in January – but it is believed they will face competition from Arsenal, Fulham and Tottenham.

Fluminense are ready to part with Andre for £30million after he helped them to a historic first-ever Copa Libertadores triumph earlier this month.

Andre has racked up 55 club appearances across all competitions this year, scoring once – with the Brazillian season not set to end until December.

The midfielder, who is under contract until December 2026, is part of the Brazil squad for this month’s games against Colombia and Argentina.

He has already earned two Selecao caps.

Liverpool sit second in the Premier League and are just one point behind league leaders Man City.

Klopp’s side are also top of their Europa League group despite a 3-2 loss against Toulouse in their last European clash.
