'Still not the guy', 'I won't deny it' - Many Chelsea fans slam Nicolas Jackson after hat-trick in 4-1 win over Tottenham

Chelsea fans are split on whether Nicolas Jackson can become a top striker for the club after his hat-trick against Tottenham on Monday night (6 November).

The Blues eventually romped to a 4-1 victory in a chaotic clash at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium against nine-man Spurs, with Jackson’s late hattrick sealing the deal for Mauricio Pochettino.

The 22-year-old netted three times after the 75th minute – all close-range efforts after Chelsea exploited Spurs’ lack of players.

Tottenham lost Cristian Romero and Destiny Udogie through red cards while centre-back Micky van de Ven was forced off through a hamstring injury.

Jackson has been a controversial figure at Stamford Bridge this season for his lack of goals having only scored twice in the league before his haul in North London – against Luton and Burnley.

The Chelsea fanbase took to social media to drop their verdicts on Jackson. While some believe he will come good, others remain unconvinced.

One fan suggested many fans are still unsatisfied with Jackson despite the Blues’ win.

One fan was more impressed with the 22-year-old and claimed his five Premier League goals are impressive for a “raw striker”.

One fan believed Jackson was poor against Tottenham but claimed he would become a “gunman” if trained properly.

One fan was critical of Jackson’s wastefulness in front of goal and urged the club to get him an adequate competitor.

This supporter was fully behind Jackson and told Chelsea fans who didn’t back him to go support another club.

One fan was not forgiving of the Senegal international’s missed chances and claimed he should have doubled his haul against Spurs.

One fan believed Jackson’s hattrick and his post-match comments were enough for him to forget some of his more “dodgy moments”.

This supporter claimed Jackson was the worst player on the pitch and that his hattrick was “undeserved”.
