'He's finally making the move' - Fans react to update on Phillips quitting Man City

Fans have been sharing mixed opinions about the future of Kalvin Phillips at Man City.

Football Insider has been gathering the reaction of fans amid suggestions that Phillips could be moving on from the Premier League window in the January window.

The 27-year-old joined the Sky Blues from Leeds United last summer but has massively struggled to make inroads into the first team.

The midfielder has made 26 appearances for Pep Guardiola’s side since joining last year and has found himself way down the pecking order at the Etihad.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano (22 October), both City and Phillips consider his exit in January “very likely”.

Phillips is ready to fight to play as much as possible in the next two months but plans to be a regular starter elsewhere come 2024.

Fans have had a mixed reaction to the news that Phillips may no longer be a Man City player in January.

One supporter is hopeful Phillips’ move will save him from being another failed prospect.

Another supporter insisted Phillips must move on for the sake of his playing career.

One fan suggested that the midfielder was wrong to move to City in the first place.

One fan claimed he should have left a “long time ago”.

One supporter branded Phillips the “flop of all time”.

Another suggested Phillips wasn’t wrong to “chase his dreams” even if it hasn’t worked out.

Some fans have even been suggesting potential destinations for the midfielder.
