'Incredible' - Fans react to game-changing Everton update as footage emerges

Everton fans have been reacting to the latest update in their new stadium construction.

Football Insider has been gathering the reaction of fans to the seats being fitted in their new home.

Goodison Park has been home to the Merseysiders since 1892 and has hosted more top flight games than any other stadium in England.

But the Toffees are preparing for change ahead of the completion of their new stadium at Liverpool’s Bramley-Moore Dock.

Construction on the new ground is set to be completed by the start of the 2024-25 season with an estimated cost of £500million.

The new ground will also have a greater capacity than Goodison Park’s 39,572 seats, promising to house 52,888 fans on matchdays.

Everton have been sharing updates about the stadium’s progress on their social media channels and on Friday shared footage of the new blue seats installed in the ground.

And fans have had an interesting responses to the video shared on X.

Some joked that the seats will look great in the Championship.

Some fans couldn’t care less about the update and were more interested in watching paint dry.

But others were excited by the update and can’t wait to see the stadium when it’s finished.

One supporter didn’t have a bad word to say about the new stadium, no matter how hard he tried.

One is hoping the new seats will be able to replicate the sounds of Goodison Park, if not they’ll have to start over.
