'Get your facts right' - Celtic fans rip into Mark Wilson as Rangers ticket drama takes new twist

Celtic fans have been slamming ex-defender Mark Wilson after claims about the latest ticketing drama.

Football Insider has been gathering the reaction of Hoops fans ahead of Sunday’s game against Hearts at Tynecastle, where the Scottish champions have seen their allocation slashed.

The Celts were allocated 576 tickets for the match in Edinburgh after Hearts cut allocations for visiting supporters across the league, expect for city rivals Hibernian.

It comes after Celtic and Rangers cut each others’ allocations for the derby matches in recent seasons.

The rivals reduced one another’s allocation to 800 tickets before eliminating fans from the ground completely last term, the Hoops citing concerns over fan safety as the reason.

Speaking on Clyde Superscoreboard (19 October), Wilson claimed Celtic are “hypocrites” who, alongside Rangers, are the sole cause of the allocation debacle in Scotland.

But fans have been outraged by Wilson’s suggestion that the problem was caused by the Hoops.

One supporter insisted that it wasn’t Celtic’s decision to cut allocations.

Another was “sick” of hearing people blame Celtic for the problems.

Another insisted it was Rangers who started the problems after a lengthy period of dominance from their rivals.

Another agreed that the Gers are at fault for the limited allocation and insisted the Hoops shouldn’t return the allocation until agreement can be reached.

Another supporter agreed that the problems were all started by the Ibrox club.

One fan couldn’t believe a former Celt could get it so wrong.

But one supporter suggested cutting away allocations completely to show other teams what they are missing.
