'Shameful way to treat supporters', 'He'll ruin his career' - Fans react to Man United source's Evan Ferguson reveal

Fans have reacted to Evan Ferguson’s “deranged” links to Man United.

The Brighton forward recently penned a new contract with the Seagulls that will keep him in Sussex until the summer of 2029 after his excellent start to the season.

But as revealed by Football Insider (15 November), the Red Devils remain interested in the 19-year-old despite his new deal and will continue to monitor his progress.

The Republic of Ireland international has bagged five Premier League goals this season including a hattrick in Brighton’s 3-1 win over Newcastle United.

Fans have taken to social media to mock Erik ten Hag’s side for their interest in bringing the young talent to the club and have warned Ferguson that Old Trafford is not the ideal move.

One fan claimed a move from the Amex to Manchester would be a downgrade for Ferguson.

This fan claimed Man United was a “graveyard” and urged Ferguson to steer clear.

Another fan suspected that the Seagulls are fully aware that Ferguson will depart and only offered him fresh terms with a view to a huge sale in the future.

This fan can only see bad things happening to the teenager if he moves to Old Trafford.

Another suggested alternative clubs for Ferguson that would be better than this move and claimed he is too inexperienced to handle the pressure at United.

This supporter implied that Brighton have a better chance of winning trophies than the Red Devils and he’d be better off staying at the south coast.

One fan slammed Ferguson for his “shameful” treatment of Brighton fans amid his links to the Premier League giants.

One fan questioned Ferguson’s very sanity if he entertained a move to Man United.
