Rangers fans have predictably mocked Celtic for an “embarrassing” exit from the Champions League after their 2-0 loss to Lazio on Tuesday evening (28 November).

The Hoops held on for most of the match at the Stadio Olimpico but a late brace from substitute Ciro Immobile put the final nail in the coffin of their European hopes this season with a game to spare.

Even Europa League qualification through a third-place finish in Group E is impossible for Brendan Rodgers’ side as they sit five points below third-place Feyenoord with a solitary point.
