'Corrupt', 'Robbed in broad daylight' - Fans react to VAR controversy as footage analysed after Man United 3-0 win over Everton

Everton fans on social media feel Man United were unfairly awarded a penalty in their side’s 3-0 loss on Sunday afternoon.

The Toffees were unable to climb out of the relegation zone and remain 19th in the table following their 10-point deduction last week for breaching financial and sustainability rules.

Prior to kick-off, Everton fans protested their club’s points deduction with banners accusing the Premier League of corruption, and their anger was only heightened when United were awarded a penalty in the second half.
