'It's time' - Man United fans call for Altay Bayindir to start after Andre Onana 'scam'

Man United fans are fed up with Andre Onana after his “scam” against Galatasaray on Wednesday (29 November) and want him axed for backup goalkeeper Altay Bayindir.

Istanbul bore witness to a Champions League thriller in the 3-3 draw, but Onana was once again on fans’ lips for the wrong reasons after looking suspect for all three of the Turkish side’s goals.

Hakim Ziyech twice caught out the Cameroon international from average freekicks, with Onana spilling the second directly into his net before getting beaten at his near post by a Kerem Akturkoglu wonder strike.

Bayindir is yet to make a single appearance for the Red Devils this season after his £4.3million move from Fenerbahce at the end of the transfer window with Onana Erik ten Hag’s clear number one.

But fans have lost their patience and have taken to social media to urge the boss to give the 25-year-old a chance over their current “scam” of a first choice.

This fan feels buying Onana was a poor call from the club and pleaded with them to drop him despite his significant £47.2million move from Inter Milan.

One supporter feels the losses will keep coming if Bayindir is not given a chance.

One fan strangely called for Onana to move into the midfield to open up an opportunity for Bayindir.

This fan did not hold back on his criticism of Onana and wants Bayindir in between the sticks to stop his “flops”.

This supporter feels many will be amazed by what the Turkish shot-stopper could offer if given the chance.

Another was shocked that Bayindir is yet to gain a single competitive minute this season.

One fan claimed Bayindir is a superior shot-stopper than Onana, who could miss a large portion of January and February during the African Cup of Nations.

This fan slammed Ten Hag for picking favourites.

This fan was confident that if Bayindir had played in Man United’s Champions League clashes they would already have qualified for the knockout rounds.
