'I was raging' - Celtic fans react to Marco Tilio display

Celtic fans were impressed with Marco Tilio after he finally made his first appearance for the club since his summer move.

Brendan Rodgers’ side let down the fanbase with a 1-1 draw against Motherwell on Saturday (25 November) despite dominating their opponents with 81 per cent possession and 20 shots.

A 90th-minute Jonathan Obika equaliser saw Celtic drop points at the death but with Rangers also drawing with their own 1-1 draw against Aberdeen, the Hoops still hold an eight-point lead at the top of the league table.

The Australian had just seven minutes to impress after replacing Yang Hyun-Jun in stoppage time, but his brief cameo left a very good impression on the Parkhead faithful.

Fans have taken to social media to hail the winger, and some feel he deserves a shot in Rodgers’ starting line-up after his “dynamic” debut.

This Hoops supporter claimed his debut was a rare positive from their lacklustre display, especially considering Tilio’s struggles with injuries this season.

Some fans claimed he looked better in his cameo than “hopeless” Yang did from kick-off.

One supporter was fuming that the 22-year-old wasn’t introduced earlier considering he looked like such an imposing threat.

This fan is baffled that he didn’t get chosen to come on over Mikey Johnston, who replaced Luis Palma in the 67th minute.

One fan took aim at another supporter who was critical of Tilio and praised him for “clearly” having the desire to make an impact.

This Hoop spotted Tilio’s potential after his appearance and is hopeful that he will be rewarded with more minutes soon.

This fan claimed Tilio was the most impressive player in the entire Celtic team and made more of an impression than anyone in his short spell on the field.
