'Klopp is lying', 'We are finished' - Liverpool fans distraught after Alisson injury update
Liverpool fans are devastated after Jurgen Klopp revealed the extent of Alisson’s injury.
The German was vague in estimating his goalkeeper’s return but confirmed he will be unavailable for the Reds’ upcoming Europa League clash against LASK (30 November) and their Premier League game against Fulham (3 December).
While Klopp admitted that the Brazilian’s injury was not as severe as teammate Diogo Jota’s after the pair picked up knocks in their 1-1 draw against Man City (25 November), he also feared Alisson would “probably” still be out after the weekend.
Having missed just 17 out of 203 Premier League games since his arrival in 2018, he has become a pivotal cog in Liverpool’s success and few would back the replacements to match his excellence.
His absence is worrying supporters who have taken to social media to react to the news.
