'I'm ashamed', 'Cringe' - Fans berate Darwin Nunez as bust-up footage emerges after Liverpool draw v Man City

Fans have berated Darwin Nunez for his “pathetic” bust-up with Pep Guardiola after Liverpool snatched a late leveller in their 1-1 draw with Man City on Saturday afternoon (25 November).

Jurgen Klopp had to hold the striker back his managerial counterpart in the technicalarea in what appeared to be a heated exchange between the pair as soon as the final whistle was blown.

Nunez blanked at the Etihad on the back of a prolific international break with Uruguay but was hauled off by his boss in the 85th minute for Harvey Elliott.

The 24-year-old managed just 23 touches, three shots and failed to convert one big chance, but Trent Alexander-Arnold saved the Reds’ blushes with a late equaliser that cancelled out Erling Haaland’s opener.

Fans have taken to social media to ridicule the £85million man, and many feel he has got too big for his misfiring boots.

This fan mocked Nunez and claimed goalscoring chances are not the only thing he misses.

This fan was not impressed and admitted he’d be “ashamed” if he was seen doing it.

This supporter claimed he needed to focus on bringing his international form to the Premier League, not starting beef with opposition managers.

This supporter insisted that Nunez’s antics were all for show, but that nonetheless it was “pathetic”.

Another sarcastically claimed the altercation was a goal for Nunez.

One fan was annoyed that Nunez felt he could start an argument with “the best in the world”.

One fan questioned why Guardiola would waste his energy entertaining the “waste of space”.

One fan advised Nunez to take up meditation like his Liverpool teammate.
