'This guy is a disaster', 'It's going to be doomsday' - Man United fans react to potential European ban

Man United fans have reacted to Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s investment in the club potentially causing them to be banned from Europe.

The Red Devils could reportedly be ineligible for UEFA competitions due to the billionaire’s ownership of Ligue 1 side Nice.

UEFA’s multi-club ownership rules mean that if both of Ratcliffe’s clubs end the season in Champions League spaces, the team that finishes higher will only be eligible to participate.

Nice currently sit second in the French top flight while United are five points away from the top four, but the only way both sides can play in Europe is if one qualifies for the Champions League and the other the Conference League.

Fans have reacted to the possible “disaster” on their hands that could cause further chaos at Old Trafford.

This supporter has seemingly lost all hope in his club after a decade of decline.

Some fans are hopeful that it could spark the controversial Glazers to sanction a full sale of the club.

This fan singled out Ratcliffe directly and urged him to “stay away” from Man United.

This fan feels this won’t be an issue as United won’t even qualify for Europe.

This fan has predicted “doomsday” at Old Trafford due to Ratcliffe’s involvement.

Other fans suggest Sheikh Jassim is the man to save them.

One fan was more optimistic about the potential ban and claimed Man United may benefit from time away from European competitions.
