Jack Grealish cited as Premier League clubs swoop for 'brilliant' Leeds player

Crysencio Summerville will have “vultures” circling him if Leeds United to not achieve promotion back to the Premier League.

Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, former Rangers and Aston Villa defender Alan Hutton claimed that clubs will be watching the 22-year-old after his “standout” season.

Summerville has been Leeds’ most prolific player this season with six goals and five assists in the Championship, including two match-winning braces against Norwich and Huddersfield.

The £1.3million signing garnered reported attention from Premier League clubs including Everton and Burnley in the summer, but interest remains for a January move.

Hutton claims his future will depend on the status of Leeds at the end of the season.

“Of course, it’s going to be difficult to keep him,” he told Football Insider.

“It is what it is. Villa had Jack Grealish in the Championship and people will watch your standout stars.

“When you’ve got stats like Summerville – five assists in five games – people and Premier League giants are going to be watching and making moves.

“He’s a guy who really excites the fans and gets them off their seats and makes things happen for Leeds.

“They’re going to be watching because there will be squads out there that will need that sort of brilliant player.

“It will really depend on if Leeds go up or not. If they do not, then the vultures are going to be hovering.

“If they do, then he’s got another crack [in the Premier League] with Leeds.”
