Tottenham insider blown away by 'amazing' Sessegnon after 'one of the best performances I've seen'

Ryan Sessegnon has shown an “amazing” turnaround after impressing as Tottenham beat Norwich 3-0 on Sunday (5 December).

That is according to Spurs insider John Wenham, who regularly breaks news about the club on his Lilywhite Rose social media channels.

Sessegnon, 21, played 68 minutes against Norwich after replacing the injured Sergio Reguilon in the first half.

This was his first appearance since being sent off against NS Mura on 25 November.

The defender was widely criticised for his actions as Spurs went on to lose the game 2-1.

Wenham was blown away by Sessegnon’s performance against Norwich and can’t believe the turnaround he has performed in such a short space of time.

“Huge credit to Ryan Sessegnon,” Wenham told Football Insider correspondent Ben Wild.

“He produced one of the best performances I’ve seen from him after he came on.

“Sessegnon looked like a real option, he was really hugging that left-hand side.

“There was one ball he put in that was right across the face of the goal, unfortunately, no one was there to turn it in.

“That was much, much better from Sessegnon, I was so pleased.

“He was rightly sent off against Mura, I have no complaints with that. But what an amazing response from him.

“Clearly he’s knuckled down at Hotspur Way and I really hope he can build on that now.”

Tottenham moved up to fifth with their win over the Canaries.

They are next in action against Rennes in the Europa Conference League on Thursday (9 December).

In other news, Tottenham are preparing for the “biggest window in their history”, with 10-plus deals in the pipeline.
