'Best player to ever grace the shirt' - Celtic fans react to Luis Palma display in 6-0 win over Aberdeen

Celtic fans piled praise on summer signing Luis Palma for his role in the 6-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon.

The Hoops retained their lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership on Sunday with a convincing win over Aberdeen in Parkhead.

Brendan Rodgers’ side now boast an eight-point lead over fierce rivals Rangers, while the loss saw Aberdeen stay eighth in the standings.

Hyun-Jun Yang and Kyogo Furuhashi opened the scoring for the hosts in the first half before Luis Palma, David Turnbull and a brace from Hyeon-Gyu saw Celtic secure a commanding six-goal victory.

Palma scored from the spot in the second half to take his scoring tally this season to four goals in eight league games for Celtic.

He also added three assists on Sunday afternoon, taking his season total to five.

The 23-year-old signed for the Glasgow giants in a £3.5million deal from Greek side Aris FC this summer and has hit the ground running in Scotland.

Celtic fans flooded to X, formerly known as Twitter, to give their thoughts on Palma’s superb performance.

The Honduran striker is quickly becoming a fan favourite at Celtic Park.

Although some of the fan reaction may have been slightly exaggerated…

Others piled praise on the transfer and scouting department for finding yet another ‘gem’.

It also seems as though Brendan Rodgers has found the answer to Celtic’s penalty-taking problems.
